Pluto TV is a great way to watch Live TV, free Movies and TV Shows, but the regular Android app doesn’t work with normal Android box remotes and it’s very basic compared to the one designed for Android TV, lacking the Free Movies & TV Shows section and the Guide.
After searching endlessly for a modded version of this app I decided to tackle the problem myself and I’m releasing it here for you all to enjoy.
Important: To get the full Live TV channel line-up and access to the Free Movies & TV Shows section you need to use a VPN with your country set to USA. For the past 3 years we’ve been using Nord VPN and after trying all the other alternatives this one takes the cake. It even unblocks Netflix so you can watch all your favorite US only shows while visiting Canada! *wink wink*
When installing the app you may have to enable unknown sources depending on your version of Android. This just allows apps to be installed outside of the Play Store app, you can disable it again after installing Pluto.TV.
